An enviable community vibe
Coburg has long been admired for its multicultural heritage, and culture of community and family. With Sydney Road at its heart, the suburb has gentrified considerably in recent times, however, still very much retains its heritage and relaxed atmosphere. A short stroll down Sydney Road illustrates a community and village vibe that can’t be matched in Melbourne.
Why not just walk
Rated a 9/10 for walkability, everything is within close reach in Coburg. From up-to-the-minute cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife, to quality basic amenity such as supermarkets, One Coburg Quarter has it all within walking distance. But delve deeper and you’ll find little gems such as the weekly farmer’s market at Coburg Primary School and Mediterranean Wholesalers, a wonderful continental market.
AN ICONIC HISTORY
One Coburg Quarter rises from the former grounds of the historic Pentridge Prison, a stunning Australian treasure built from bluestone in 1851. Echoing the rhythm and language of the historical prison structures, One Coburg Quarter is inspired by the past, yet designed for tomorrow.
